• Trainees will be presented with a design package for stress analysis and will be required to design stress models based on applications frequently used in the Offshore & Onshore Process Plants industry.
  • The course is designed to allow you to appreciate an actual piping industry experience as a pipe stress engineer as you work through the stress models in the training.
  • Each session is conducted in a discussion format designed to provide intensive instruction and guidance on understanding common modeling & problem solving techniques.
  • Each trainee is provided with a work machine and a copy of CAESAR II program for use during the course.
  • By the end of the course, you will further understand the application of the piping design basis and all the typical client requirements for analyzing stress in piping systems.


Who should attend?

For Piping/Mechanical Engineers who have between 1 – 2 years work experience in using CAESAR II and also possess sound knowledge in Industry Codes & Standards; ASME B31.3, B16.5, ASME Section VIII, API, etc.


In these FOUR (4) consecutive days, you will be able to:

  • Review of data in a typical project design criteria
  • Develop logical flow for system modelling
  • Define Elements of a Pipe Stress Criteria
  • Build the complete Piping System
  • Model basic equipment vessels and simple heat exchangers
  • Distinguish and develop suitable Load Cases
  • Perform Equipment Nozzle Load Checks – using project based allowable or analysis modules within CAESAR II program; such as WRC 107/297 analysis
  • Introduce input procedures for External Loadings in piping model – e.g. Wind, Waves, Seismic, etc.
  • Review calculation results & learn troubleshooting techniques to resolve any overstress or overloading areas
  • Understand and produce meaningful output for report packaging effectively as per client requirement
